Breaking the Rules
Rules are made to be broken, right? Well, good then, because I long ago promised myself I wouldn’t divulge all of the major monthly Parcell Press Newsletter secrets and treasures to just everyone. I promised myself, “Self, that kind of news is for people kin’ a’nuff to subscribe.” But from time to time, I can’t help but want to share all of the secrets and treasures with the whole world.
Also, about a year ago I invented “Two-New Tuesday,” a clever plan by which I’d add just two new titles to the Parcell Press catalog per week, so as not to overextend myself or my customers, and to get folks in the habit of checking in weekly. I mean, who can forget a phrase like “Two-New Tuesday”? Well, the more new things I pick up for the shop and the more excited I am to share them, I have slowly but surely broken that rule as well.
So, I’m here to just get this rule-breaking over with once and for all. First, I am just itching to share this Coupon Code with each and every one of you. Typing sweaterweather09 into the coupon code field when you checkout will take 15% off your order total! Fuh real. But be quick, because this coupon code won’t work after 10.30.09.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

After reviewing over 20 different steam mops/cleaners for hard floors, I chose this one. I am EXTREMELY pleased!! I wasn’t home when it arrived, but my husband was and as soon as it came he took it out and cleaned all our hard wood floors, and master bath. He said mopping is alot more fun now and will do it more often. We have 2 large dogs (black lab. and bullmastiff) so we always have dried on slobber/drool spots on our wood floors and the the steam mop picks it right up without leaving ANY water behind. Just make sure you go slow and use a fresh pad. Once you start to notice water left on the floor – just change out the pad to a fresh one and that will solve the problem. On othe reviews I read the 19′ cord isn’t long enough, but I think its plenty. I have a very simple solution and its called an extention cord if you need it. All in all, Haan steam cleaner is awesome all around and can use it on our main floor without refilling the water. Even though it came with a carpet attachment tray I personally don’t believe it will do anything compared to a true carpet cleaner. We got this specifically for our hard floors, not carpet. I suggest if you want a capret cleaner, don’t cut corners and get this because this does not deep clean like a cleaner meant for carpets. I hightly recommend!
BTW – pads can get up to 300 washes.

Along with the full Tropicana debacle was left off why? Speaking of Tropicana, does the brand new Aol logo remind anyone from the rejected Troipcana logo? Personally, I am not a fan of the Aol rebrand. Though the execution and implementation are excellent, the real wordmark is dull, uninspired, and just kind of blah. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate.
